Lync conference "Join by phone" number displayed twice

Hi Guys,

We were using two extensions for conference in our Lync environment. But now we only use one. So earlier when a meeting request was sent, there were two phone numbers with different extensions displayed in every meeting request. However, since we removed the second extension, now when we send a meeting request with Lync client, it shows the phone number with same extension twice.

When I run get-csapplicationendpoint, everything looks good. There are no errors or warnings.

Can someone please advise. I need to remove one entry so that the number is only displayed once.

Thanks,

Hi,

have you remove the Dialin Access number from the LYNC Control panel?

Yes I have. There is only one access number in the control panel. But it is being displayed twice in each meeting request.

have you tried restarting the Conference Attendant Service?

I did that too. No luck.

Also checked under applications contacts using ADSIedit and there is only one with msRTCSIP-Line value.

I can suggest you this. Clear the conference attendant number configured there. Let it be blank. Restart the service and then schedule a meeting a meeting and check whether you get any entry there.

if it comes out blank, re create the conference attendant number again. then check whether you have that entry populated in the meeting request.

Hi Thamara,

I did as you suggested. Removed the conference number. Left it blank. Restarted the service. Now when I try to schedule a meeting, it is showing only one number even though there is nothing in the conference number.

So it seems like the one number that is still displayed is some kind of a ghost record.

Thanks,

Yes, I just tried that and it does add the second one.

So first one is some kind of a ghost/stuck entry.

Ok, this resolved it:

Get-CsDialInConferencingAccessNumber

And then using the identity above I ran,

Set-CsDialInConferencingAccessNumber –Identity <Existing Dialing Conf> –ScopeToSite

Now I only have one number (correct one) appearing!

Thanks for troubleshooting with me Thamara!

Yes I rebooted them quite a few times to no avail :)

But the above command fixed it.

Hi,

after migration vom Lync Server 2012 to Lync Server 2013 i forgot to move the ApplicationEndpoints. After recreating RGS, Workflows, DialinAccessNumber, etc. i found the dialinaccessnumber showing twice on. The commands from SinghP80 solved the problem for me.

Thx
